I am not fond of online degree programs for a variety of reasons. Primarily, a student forfeits a great deal by not participating in a live interactive classroom. In fairness, I have no personal experience with University of Phoenix. However, I find it interesting that if you Google "U of P" & "complaints" you'll get 163,00 hits. While you need to sort through them yourself, I truly believe that where there is smoke, there is fire. Review some of the sites, look for complaint themes - recurring complaints from a variety of individuals. Make a list, get someone from Phoenix on the phone and confront them with your concerns to see how they respond. Visit the interesting sites below, obviously hosted by some folks who feel they really got burned.
