Figures are based on "Cost of Attendance" data issued by the UIS Office of Financial Aid for the academic years 2004/2005, 2005/2006, and 2006/2007. Tuition and Fees are those for new undergraduate students and the room & board and other expenses are those calculated for students residing in the residence hall. "On campus, other expenses" include personal/miscellaneous and transportation. In 2004/2005, transportation was calculated at $1,800. It was reduced to $850 in 2005/2006 and is $900 for 2006/2007. The board portion of the 2006/2007 room & board figure representes the less expensive meal package, whereas the 2005/2006 board portion represents the more expensive meal package. Tuition is a guaranteed rate. Refundable fees, as well as health insurances are excluded. Tuition as referenced on Questions 7 (undergraduate) and 9 (graduate) are based on 24 and 18 credit hours, respectively, as full-time whereas in prior years they were based on 30 and 24, respectively.
