After a review of the COA for other area institutions it was determined that VCU's allowance for personal/misc. & travel were significantly higher and therefore reduced for 2005-06. The 2006-07 books and supplies allowance for students at the freshman level is $1760 and includes the purchase of a computer, all other students receive a books and supplies allowance of $980.
